• Typically today, scores are published in 4 basic forms or media:
  • Paper Print, for orchestrations, books, etc.
  • On-line Print (ex: PDF), for print document viewing, printing, downloading
  • On-line Asset, for web viewing, in markup, as web page images and animations
  • On-line Interactive, for web-based on-line score editing and production.
  As on-line interactive scoring is still coming and as PDF like formats cover a wide range of print, and download viewing applications, currently, the 2 main score publishing forms are really PDF documents and on-line assets.

• Publishing is for content and scores are based on Music, musical ideas that require quality translation and embedding into understandable and printable symbols.
